HANGZHOU
2 nights in Hangzhou to discover some enchanting places like the West Lakes and the city centre. Visit the Longjing Tea Plantation to better understand how the tea plant is cultivated in this part of the world. Walk among the tea plantations and drink this exquisite beverage that has enchanted the world since the beginning of time.
SHANGHAI
3 nights in the China business capital, Shanghai is a perfect example of cultural crossover. Between China and Europe, the buildings of the city express this perfect combination of aspiring to Europe while trying to hold a chinese soul. Walk the famous Bund, climb the Oriental Pearl Tower. Visit the YuYuan Garden and the Great Jade Buddha Temple. Visit Zhujiajiao and ride the typical boats that will take you back to the 19th century.
XI'AN
Xi'an is not only world famous for its Terracotta Army, which is UNESCO Heritage but also for the peaceful Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Visit the capital of Tang Dinasty and learn how to write the Chinese Calligraphy in our exclusive writing class held by true Chinese teachers.
CHENGDU
The last part of the tour is dedicated to the exploration of Cheng'du, its beautiful Renmin Park and the Kuan Zhai Alley. Did you know Panda is China national treasure? Visit the great Dujianjang Irrigation System that span back to 3rd century BC. Plus the visit of the famous Wenzhou Yuan Monastery to see real Buddhist monks and take a peek to know their daily routine.
Itinerary:
2 Sept : Departure from Malta International Airport at 12.30hrs with connection flight to Beijing International via Frankfurt ,stay in transit
3 Sept - At arrival in Beijing International Airport at 11.25am transfer to your hotel and have a day of rest after traveling and later in evening go with your group leader for a walk and to have dinner (dinner is not included)
4 Sept : Atter the breakfast our guide will pick you in the hotel and together with our minivan it is time to start the exploration of the city. Tien Amen Square and Forbidden City are on the menu for this morning. In the afternoon visit of the Summer Palace which used to be the imperial garden during the Qing Dinasty. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
5 Sept : Atter the breakfast it is time to explore the world Famous Great Wall. Inscribed in UNESCO Heritage, this masterpiece of engineering is one of the few monuments that are visible from space. A Chinese saying goes: He who has never been to the Great Wall is not a true hero. Lunch is not included. In the afternoon explore the Hutongs, a type of narrow street or alley commonly associated with northern Chinese cities. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
6 Sept : Atter the breakfast, your guide will take you to visit the Temple of Heaven, before taking the train to Hangzhou (included). The Temple of Heaven was used by Chinese Emperors for worshipping and wishing of good harvest for the country. Included in the temple we organize a Taiji class with local master. No lunch is included. In the afternoon you will take a high speed train to Hangzhou, a city renowned for the saying: In heaven is paradise, on earth, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Transfer to the hotel. 7 Sept : Atter breakfast it is time together with our guide to explore Hangzhou and the famous city centre. Our driver will lead you to the West Lake to admire this peaceful place. Lunch is not included. Walk into Hefang Street, the busy road of Hangzhou where to find everything, a historic cultural hub, famous for its traditional architecture, local crafts, and vibrant street life, offering a glimpse into the city's proud heritage. Visit the Qing Yu Tang Chinese medicine museum to better understand the Chinese herbal medicine. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
8 Sept : Atter breakfast, the exploration of Hangzhou continues. The morning is dedicated to the famous Longjing Tea Plantation. You will walk with our guide in the plantation and discover the secrets of this plant that has so much part in Chinese lifestyle even nowadays. Atter the visit, we have booked a delicious tasting of Chinese different kind of teas in a local tea saloon nearby the plantation. In the afternoon will drive you to the Train Station to catch the train for Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai drive to the selected hotel. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
9 Sept : Atter the breakfast it is time to explore Shanghai. Our guide will pick you up and drive to downtown. Visit the YuYuan Garden and feel the beauty of the water games in this marvellous typical Chinese garden. Then we will visit the Jade Buddha Temple. Climb in the afternoon the Pearl Tower for an extensive view of the city from one of the tallest buildings in China. Later on it is time to visit the famous Bund and its beautiful lights. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
10 Sept : Atter the breakfast, today the day is dedicated to the town of Zhujiajiao. This small town, located 1 hour from Shanghai, has kept all the elements of typical ancient life in China as it used to be.. Water channels, small boats and red lanters, will simply mesmerize your fantasy in this full day visit of Zhujiajiao. Take some time to walk by yourself in the narrow roads of this town. In late afternoon - will bring you back to Shanghai. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
11 Sept : Atter the breakfast, transfer to the train station. Next stop is the town of Xi'an. Spend the morning travelling on the luxurious train that will take you to Xi'an. Upon arrival our minivan will collect you from the train station and together with our local guide start the exploration of the town. Afternoon visit of the famous city walls and the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda: a Buddhist pagoda built under Tang Dinasty in 1st millennia AC. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
12 Sept : Breakfast - The day is dedicated to the discovery of the world famous Xi'An Terracotta Army. Discovered by a local farmer, this Army which includes more than 8000 terracotta soldiers was moulded more then two 2000 years ago with the intention to protect the emperor's atter life. Atter the visit of the Terracotta Army, start your journey into Chinese calligraphy and experience the beauty of writing. In the afternoon visit of Muslim Quarter and stroll around the busy roads of this area. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
13 Sept : Breakfast The last two days of our tour are dedicated to the visit of Chengdu. Atter the breakfast, our minivan will take you to the train station. Train to Chengdu. Upon arrival our minivan will take you to the hotel to drop your luggage and start the afternoon visit of Chengdu. Walk with our guide in Kuan Zhay Alley and visit Renmin Park. The dinner is not included. Overnight staying in your hotel.
14 Sept : Atter the breakfast, and start the visit of famous Dujianjang Irrigation Project and the Great Panda Park. Constructed around 256 BC by the State of Qin as an irrigation and flood control project, it is still used nowadays. Panda is China national treasure and you will spend the day to get to know better these beautiful creatures. The last part of the day is free and you can spend some time strolling around Chengdu main roads to find the perfect gift for your family. Dinner is not included. Overnight staying your hotel.
15 Sept : Breakfast - This is the last day of our tour. Atter the breakfast visit the famous Wenshu Yuan Monastery. One of the best surviving examples of Buddhist monastery in China, this amazing place will catch your heart with its marvellous statues and stories dating back to two millennia. Then visit Jinsha Ancient Relics Museum before heading to the Chengdu International Airport
16 Sept – flight depart to Malta connecting via Frankfurt at 01.35am and arrive Malta at 11.40am
